![]() Mine CarSimple mine cars have been around for decades and the design did not change much. At first, they were pushed from the mines by the miners. Later dogs, donkeys, and mules were used to pull them out. Finally, electric locos did the pulling of the mine cars. These cars were patterned after one shown in a photo of a West Virginia coal mine. The unpainted kits consists of laser cut wood and cardstock for the body and frame. The HOn30 version has solid wheels while the On30 version has spoked wheels. Link&pin couplers are included in both scales. The On30 kit is also designed to accept Kadee couplers (not included). Cars are a scale 11'-6" over the end beams and a scale 6'-9" wide.
