Vertical Storage Tank
Wood has been used for decades to create liquid storage tanks. The wood staves swell from the liquid and form a tight seal. Iron or steel bands keep the staves in place. This tank can be used by itself or grouped in numbers behind most any industry. There are interesting possiblities for a clutter of piping (not included) connecting them together. This kit consists of laser-cut basswood and plywood with styrene bands. The footprint is a scale 10' x 7.5' and it stands a scale 17 feet tall. Details vary slightly between scales.
