McCabe Wood Oil Tank

Locomotives need fuel and, on the McCabe line, oil is the choice. An old wood tank car was converted to a storage tank and placed on a timber frame to store the fuel until needed. The pump house moves the fuel from the incoming tank cars to the storage tank.

The oil tank has a footprint of a scale 13' x 33' and the pump house is a scale 9' x 16'. The pump house includes interior framing, flooring, positionable windows and door, removable roof, individual battens that can be left off for a board siding. The kit consists of a plastic oil column parts, brass and white metal details, and laser-cut wood components.
