30' Truss Rod Tank Car

The first tank cars were just metal tanks strapped to a wood flat car built in the late 1860s. This was before the time of air brakes and other safety features, and featured link & pin couplers when built. This 5,000 gallon, 30' car is a fairly generic car inspired by a photo of one from the Cornplanter Oil Company that was located in Warren, PA. It would have been built in the 1870-80s.

The kit includes laser-cut wood components, a urethane tank, and brass & plastic detail parts. Less trucks, couplers and decals
